High Commissioners urged to intervene to arrest erosion of links with Commonwealth
IAS has written to all Commonwealth countries’ High Commissioners in London to intervene diplomatically with the British Government to save the traditional migration route links between their countries and the UK and to stop further "nails in the coffin" of the relationship with the Commonwealth.

Arbitrariness in civil penalties will bring the system into disrepute
The Government should have a single check by employers to see if employees are entitled to work or not. Unscrupulous employers should be prosecuted. Civil penalties imposed on employers who find it difficult to follow the complicated guidance will cause increasing resentment.
